Still Holding
The loss of a baby is a kind of grief that can feel both all-consuming and invisible at the same time. It changes you—and yet so much of it is carried quietly, often without others fully understanding. You deserve a space where your grief is not only welcome, but deeply understood.
Whether your loss was recent or years ago, it still matters. Your grief matters. Your baby matters. And you are not expected to simply “move on” from your loss. Still Holding is a space for mothers to come together in the presence of others who understand the profound impact of stillbirth, infant loss, and late-term loss. Together, we create room to honor and remember your baby, share your story, process the complexities of grief, and explore what it means to carry both loss and love forward.
Facilitated by a clinician with personal experience of infant loss and professional expertise in perinatal mental health and grief, this group is grounded in the belief that grieving mothers deserve support that is compassionate, informed, and free from judgment. Here, you do not have to explain or justify your grief in order to feel seen, understood, and supported.
Frequently Asked Questions
-
While all forms of perinatal loss are deeply painful and deserving of support, Still Holding is specifically designed for mothers who have experienced a late-term pregnancy loss, stillbirth, or infant loss.
This focus allows group members to connect with others who share similar experiences and understand the unique grief, challenges, and realities that often accompany the loss of a baby through late second-trimester loss, stillbirth, or infant loss.
-
Late-term loss is a term used to describe pregnancy loss that occurs in the later part of the second trimester or in the early third trimester.
If you have questions about whether this group is the right fit for your experience, please reach out. We assess group fit on an individual basis and are happy to talk with you as you consider whether Still Holding feels supportive for you.
-
Each group session is 90 minutes in length.
-
Consistent attendance is an important part of the group therapy experience, as it helps foster trust, connection, and continuity within the group.
While we understand that not every group will feel like the right fit for every individual, we ask that you attend for several weeks and discuss any concerns with us before deciding to discontinue participation. This allows both you and the facilitators an opportunity to explore whether adjustments or additional support may be helpful, while also giving group members time to get to know one another and develop a sense of safety, trust, and connection within the group.
-
At this time, we plan to extend an invitation for partners to join the group once per month in order to provide space for couples to connect and process their experiences alongside one another.
These shared sessions are intended to offer an opportunity for mutual support, reflection, and connection with others navigating similar grief.
We will discuss the timing and dates of these sessions with group members and collaboratively determine what feels most supportive.
We may also choose to forgo the monthly partner sessions if the group decides they are not desired or helpful.
-
The cost of the group is $75 per session.
We believe support should be accessible. If cost is a barrier to attendance, please reach out. We may have reduced-fee options available and would be happy to discuss them with you.
